Realme has recently launched its newest addition in the 12 series that is the Realme 12X 5G.
The Realme 12X 5G includes some great specifications to offer considering the price range . It is also being referred as the New Budget-Killer.

Unboxing
It comes with the standard yellow Realme box. The box contains Realme 12X, documentation, sim ejector tool, charger, type a-c cable and a case.
Design
Talking about the design , the back is made up of hard plastic, but the quality of plastic is good. It feels strong to hold.
The phone feels lightweight and slim(7.69mm) having weight around 188 grams.
The front has a solid glass with a punch-hole display for the camera.
Realme 12X 5G comes in 2 two glossy colors that are said to be 'Woodland Green' and 'Twilight Purple'.
Realme has also continued the same luxury watch design style at the back panel.
I personally liked the design of the phone with the 'Twilight Purple' color.
Software
Realme 12X 5G comes with Mediatek Dimensity 6100+ processor which is based on 6nm architecture.
Mediatek Dimensity 6100+ chipset is a good performing processor in terms of day-to-day tasks , good gaming and maintaining heat levels(thanks to the Vapor Chamber Cooling system)
In long run , users will not experience heating issues as the processor is well optimized with the UI.
Realme has provided dynamic button in power button which you can set as per you use and requirements.
Phone comes with Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box.
This Realme 12X 5G also comes with unique features such as Mini Capsule 2.0 and Air Gestures.
The Air Gestures feature will provide you with various controls getting done by your hand movements without touching the screen. Using it will feel like technological magic.
Camera
The smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup having 50MP Pro Light(AI) primary camera and 2MP Depth camera.
I like the portrait mode results of this camera the most as edge-detection is good.
The front camera is an 8MP shooter which provides over-sharpened colors in the selfies.
It will support video recording of 1080p@ 30fps.
Besides all the basic features, Realme 12X 5G camera offers some unique features like tilt-shift, dual view, pro mode , night mode, street photography mode.
Battery
Realme 12X 5G offers a massive 5000 mAh battery which is generally not expected at this price range.
It will handle all your daily tasks and lasts upto 1-1.5 days easily on a single charge with normal usage.
Also, it provides support of 45W SUPERVOOC Charging which will charge your device from 0-100 under 1 hour.
REALME has done a great job by providing fast charger inside the box.
Multimedia(audio and video)
Realme 12X 5G comes with a large 6.72" 120Hz FHD+ Display with Panda Glass protection.
Sadly it has an LCD display and not AMOLED but it is justifiable considering the price range.
Being an LCD display , the viewing angles are not great but it manages to provide good colors. It has a peak brightness of 950 nits.
Now, Realme has done a good job by providing adaptive 120Hz refresh rate which will give you an ultra-smooth scrolling experience and also saves the batttery by reducing refresh rate automatically when not needed.
It comes with Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers which provides good quality sound for streaming content.
Also , being an entry-level smartphone, it has 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-SD card slot which is expandable upto 2TB which will make this phone considerable for using it for longer time.
Verdict
Now talking about the reviews , Realme has out performed in the competition by providing 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Atmos dual speakers, IP54 rating, and virtual ram of 8GB.
The camera is not that upto the mark but based on the price range it does a decent job.
Realme still has not removed the bloatware apps which is a drawback of the phone.
Overall, based on the specifications it has to offer in this price point , Realme has done a great job and most of the consumers will consider buying it.
