OnePlus will soon launch its latest addition in the Nord series which is Nord CE4.
Now talking about the company itself first, OnePlus is known for providing a high quality smartphone and its Nord series is launched to provide the consumers a flagship level experience at an affordable price.
Unboxing
As soon as you open the box, first and foremost you see is the device itself along with it the box contains an ultra-fast 100W charger, documentation, sim ejector tool, red cable club card and a case also themed with your device's color.
Design
Now talking about the design, OnePlus has followed its standard, classic design pattern which they provide in their various other devices. They have not done any experiment with the design pattern which most of the smartphone brands are doing in order to lure the consumers.
Sadly, the phone does not comes with the standard alert sider.
The device contains dual camera setup and a flash light surrounded by a ring like structure which makes it unique. The selfie camera has a punch-hole design.
It comes with two eye-catchy color variants that are Celadon marble and Dark chrome. I personally like the celadon marble color more as it gives an unique touch to the smartphone.
Software
The device comes with snapdragon 7-Gen 3 processor which is an octa core processor based on 4nm architecture having clock-speeds reaching up to 2.3GHz. It will give a truly powerful performance to the users.
It comes with two variants that are 8GB RAM,128GB storage and 8GB RAM,256GB storage. The RAM type is LPDDR4X and storage is UFS 3.1.
The combination of this RAM and storage is tried and tested in many smartphones ,so it does a decent job in providing power-efficient performance.
Camera
It has a dual rear camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP shooter having Sony's LYT-600 sensor and the secondary camera is a 8MP shooter which is the ultrawide camera having Sony's IMX-355 sensor. The dynamic range of the utlra-wide camera is 112 degree.
The main camera does a decent job in day-light conditions but it lacks in ultra-wide segment somewhere. The secondary camera provides a good dynamic range but the quality of the output produced in video is not upto the mark.
The selfie camera is a 16MP shooter which provides good quality photo in every condition.
Overall, the photo quality is impressive and if you look at the pricing it offers ,it does the job.
Unfortunately, the camera lacks macro capture.
Battery
This comes with a 5500 mAh battery which lasts up to 1.5-2 days easily in a single charge with normal usage. The charging speed is around 30 minutes, thanks to the 100W charger which generally is the most appreciated thing of this company.
Fast charging is not a feature , its a habit which develops as soon as you first time charge your phone and it charges instantly. OnePlus knows this and so they do not compromise with the charging speeds which is a good thing for its regular users.
Display
It has a big display of 6.7" which is an AMOLED display having the Aqua Touch technology with HDR 10+ certification. The display provides a smooth scrolling experience by providing 120Hz refresh rate.
The display provides vivid colors which looks close to natural colors and also it has stereo speakers which provides a great multimedia experience when you are streaming content.
So yes, OnePlus has done a great job in the multimedia department.
Verdict
So talking about whether to buy this phone or not.
OnePlus has directly competed with the newly launched Nothing Phone(2a) by providing the aggressive pricing similar to its competition.
This phone comes with lots of handy features which provides a good value for money and in some departments it performs better than its arch rival that is Nothing Phone(2a).
So, yes I would definitely recommend to buy this smartphone if you want an overall 'OnePlus near-to-flagship' experience with a balanced performance and if you are OnePlus fan than you can look at this device if your budget allows you to do so.
